Looking for someone to help painting kitchen units Knutsford just got a lot easier. There are a few different reasons as to why you may be looking to get your kitchen painted. However, for this client, the kitchen had started to show signs of wear. While the odd mark or chip may add a little ‘character’, generally dirt and grime build up and starts to make a kitchen look less than inviting.
Painting Kitchen Units
Having priced for the project, we were given the go ahead. Our client had looked at many different shades and decided her paint choice. The way we paint kitchens is generally the same for each project. We are meticulous in our preparation, and we use the right paint and products for the job. This allows us to confidently offer a result that is long-lasting.
Our Process
All drawers and door fronts are removed and taken back to our workshop. All other surfaces are fully protected and provides a clean working environment.
Each surface is deep cleaned, making sure no contamination is left on the surface. If left, this can affect the paint adhesion. Once everything is clean it’s left to dry, before a light sand.
The application of a high adhesion primer is needed to help the topcoats stick. This primer is applied and then allowed to dry again thoroughly. From this point, all the surface needs is a little light de nib then tack down. Now it is time for the first of the topcoats. Any paint we use is extremely tough and when cured will last for years to come.
With all the painting completed we can then reassemble the kitchen carefully. We remove any other protection from the area. When fitting everything back together we always make sure to check the hinges, handles and fitting. This is an example of how small details can make a huge difference to how you use your kitchen and how it looks.
