A lot of our clients dream about a kitchen transformation. We often say that the kitchen is the hub of our homes. There has been a real trend to creating open spaces, incorporating kitchens and living spaces together. These are really incredible entertaining areas. Furthermore, it is also a way in which the family can remain together, rather than being segmented into different rooms.

A transformation does not necessarily mean a hugely expensive building project or a completely new kitchen. It may mean using the units that you already have and simply working to transform them. So many of our clients comment that they did not really fully understand the transformation that was achievable.

Kitchen Transformation

We were asked to repaint this kitchen in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The scope of works required for this project included:

• All woodwork to be fully prepared (de-greased and sanded)
• All cupboard doors will be removed along with hinges and handles
• All woodwork will have one-coat of high-grip undercoat to provide a good base
• Apply one coat of undercoat and two coats of satin finish will then be applied
• Woodwork will be de-nibbed between coats and tack cloth used
• All unit doors will be re-hung with hinges and handles to be re-fitted
• Fully prepare and apply one coat of high-grip primer and 2 x coats of topcoat to 3 x stools and 1 x bench

While this list shows the specific process for decorating the kitchen, there is so much more to our projects. We work to carefully to protect the surrounding furniture and flooring. We will also help to clear the room of any items that you may have struggled to move on your own.

Furthermore, we will always work to put the room back as best we can. Some of our clients comment that their kitchen is cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
